SMS Terms & Consent Policy

Who sends these messages
Cardo LLC (“Cardo”) operates Cardo, a scheduling and customer-management platform used by local service businesses such as moving companies. Cardo sends text messages on behalf of the business you contacted, using Cardo’s messaging number. Every message identifies that business by name and includes their phone number so you can reach them directly. Cardo does not send marketing messages of its own to consumers who reach us through a customer business.
What messages you will receive
Messages are transactional and relate to the service you requested. They include: your price estimate or quote, a link to review and sign it, appointment confirmations, scheduling and arrival-window updates, crew-on-the-way notices, invoices and payment receipts, and occasional follow-ups about an open quote. You will only receive messages tied to a request you made to that business.
How we collect your consent
Consent is express and written, and it is never assumed.
When you request a quote from a business that uses Cardo — on their website, on the quote page Cardo hosts for them, or by giving your number to their staff — you are shown an unchecked checkbox beside language reading, in substance:
“I agree to receive text messages from [business name] about my move, including estimates, scheduling, crew arrival updates, and occasional follow-ups. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.”
You must tick that box yourself. It is never pre-selected, it is never bundled into another agreement, and leaving it unticked does not stop you from getting a quote or booking the job. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with the status of your job. A typical customer receives roughly 3 to 10 messages across the life of a single move — more if the schedule changes, fewer if you book and complete without changes. We do not send recurring campaigns on a fixed cadence.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Cardo and the business you contacted do not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge for messages you send or receive according to your plan.
How to stop messages (STOP) and get help (HELP)
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to that number. Reply START at any time to opt back in.
Reply HELP for help, or email us at [email protected]. You can also ask the business directly using the phone number included in their messages.
Carrier support varies. Messages may be delayed or undeliverable depending on your carrier and coverage; Cardo cannot guarantee delivery.
Your privacy
No mobile information is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you asked for (our messaging carrier), and never for their own marketing.
Cardo processes your name, phone number, email address, and the details of your service request in order to provide the platform to the business you contacted. That business is the owner of its own customer records. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it removed, contact [email protected] or the business directly.
